From Being Part of the Silhouette Awards, to DUSK being featured for Lux Futurum!
I have not one, but two really big pieces of news to share...
Firstly, I am honoured to be chosen as a Mentor for the Silhouette Awards' 2026-7 Mentorship Program!
The Silhouette Awards is a collaboration between Archifos and Parrot PR and Marketing, to shine a light on emerging talent within the lighting industry and support these individuals as they progress throughout their careers. The focus of the awards is to provide support to young professionals, providing a platform to showcase young industry talent, followed by a six-month mentorship with a senior lighting professional.
With the support of the Silhouette Awards’ very impressive and extensive community, made from an array of sponsors and supporters, the winners will be granted the opportunity to enhance their skill set, pursue their career ambitions and add real value to the creativity of the industry, raising the bar for talent around the world.
Applications for Mentees are open from now until 29th November 2026. 20 successful Mentees will be individually supported by one of the programme’s Mentors for a six-month mentorship journey.
Secondly, I’m very excited to announce that DUSK has been Shortlisted under Products for this year’s Lux Futurum Awards!
Lux Futurum is a global recognition program that actively looks to identify, explore and promote future-oriented concepts, products and projects that are pushing the boundaries of design, thinking, technology and innovation in lighting design.
‘LuFu’ honours ingenuity, originality, forward-thinking, and impactful contributions towards the future of lighting design while addressing important global issues.
Their Jury panel, comprising of renowned experts in lighting design, technology, and sustainability, will carefully evaluate each entry based on its originality, creativity, technical merit, and potential impact on the future of lighting design.
The winners of LuFu will receive a prestigious award, global visibility, and access to exclusive networking opportunities. But more than that, they will be part of a community that is shaping the future of lighting design and contributing to a brighter, more sustainable world.
Lux Futurum is produced by VLDC in conjunction with Zhu Rong Platform. The vld.community is a global network for the lighting design profession and wider lighting industry which aims to empower, educate, shape and inspire the lighting profession for years to come.
